Homemade mayonnaise can be a bit tricky to make. I have seen it made in food processors and regular blenders; however, my version is made in a wide mouth pint size mason jar, and an Immersion Blender. I love mason jars, for several reasons, but they are easy to find, use, and clean. Unless you get the new colored ones, you can also easily see whats inside of them. Bonus! I know how full it is and whats inside at a glance.
Why garlic mayonnaise and not regular? Well, the only difference is the added garlic powder. But at the Flynn homestead, we like garlic. You might call it a love affair. We eat it in almost everything. So that’s why. And if I am going to spend the couple minutes to make mayonnaise, I am going to make a flavored version that I love.

Homemade Garlic Mayonnaise
Quick and Easy Mayonnaise!
Instructions
Add all ingredients, first to last, into a jar, I use a wide mouth pint jar.
Then, I take my trusty Immersion Blender and put it to the bottom of the jar, turn it on and slowly rotate it around the bottom of the jar working to the top of the oil and back down. It looks like its done fairly quick, but I make sure to mix it for a full 30 seconds so the oil doesn't separate out and make an ugly mess.
